There has been a greater disconnect among the young people when it comes to civic engagement; while volunteerism allows an individual to play, engage and learn skills early on which helps in making them employable, it also gives the young people a chance to identify their passion, experience work environment quite early in their life and alongside instills many important life skills such as empathy and resilience. Adding to that, it also enables development dialogue and action for the betterment of the communities. India has been a cultural hub for these 'Addas' where young and experienced adults often come to discuss the solutions for change and how we can together create a better World that works for all!
