WRO Summer Camp Registration
The NASA IV&V Educator Resource Center, NASA WV Space Grant Consortium, and Mountaineer Area RoboticS (MARS) 2614 are teaming up to deliver five weeks of robotics summer camps across the state of West Virginia. This will be our largest ever, and will be a team-based program centered around learning to build, document, and program the LEGO EV3 robot and compete in the World Robot Olympiad (WRO).

Teams of 2-3 students can register together. Individual students (or pairs if necessary) will be combined into teams at the camp. The intent is for existing or rookie FIRST LEGO League (FLL) teams to break themselves into smaller groups so they can develop their technical and teamwork skills while competing in a new tournament series. We strongly suggest teams bring their own EV3 Robot and means of programming (laptop or tablet). WV will be sending two teams from each camp to the WRO nationals in North Carolina in September 9-10 (and hopefully the Worlds in November 9-10 in Costa Rica!).

Cost is $125 per student and includes 4 full-days of camp (9am-5pm), snacks and lunch each day, WRO team registration, and a Friday tournament (9am-3pm) with awards.

This year, there will be two age categories:
• Elementary: 9-12 years old (at the time of camp).
• Junior: 13-15 (at the time of camp).

Use this form to register your student or team for the 2017 WV WRO Summer Camp Program. If your student is attending camp by themselves, they will be grouped with other individual or pairs of students because this is a team-based program. Coaches / parents are not required to attend the camp Monday-Thursday, but if you wish your student to participate in the Friday WRO Competition, at least one adult will have to attend with each team and serve as their coach (no experience necessary).
