BSP Mentoring Program Application
Program Information
If you participate in the program, you will be assigned a mentor based on your
academic interests. You will then meet with your mentor in public places, such as
coffee shops or libraries, and/or communicate via email. At these meetings, you will
discuss your academic life, including your experiences taking classes, applying for
college and/or jobs and internships, and planning your future. Mentors will in turn offer their
advice and guide you through the process of exploring and furthering your career in a STEM
field. This may include directing you towards college financing opportunities, connecting you
with Brown University faculty, or guiding you through standardized testing. You will meet
and/or communicate via email with your assigned mentors at least once every month. This
relationship will begin during your senior year of high school, and will continue for two years.
