This Mastermind - interest list registration
Hello! Thanks for your interest in joining "This Mastermind".

Let me tell you a story:

Chapter 1 - Formation:
Years ago I was encouraged by someone to build a new mastermind team, modeling what they have built themselves. This team's objective was a financial one; we sought out to analyze the best public listed companies and ambitiously invest in them to aim for multi-bagger returns. In fact we did manage to uncover various gems along the way, and majority of us did get increase our net worth along the way. I can definitely vouch for the benefits of joining masterminds, and so do the past members of my previous mastermind too. (you can ask them!)

Chapter 2 - Pitfalls:
The core problems about our previous format was on the time schedule and commitment levels of the members. Over time several members would be more committed to the team than others. Different members want to contribute in different manner. Some members also run a 'scarcity mindset' and prefer to share certain things over others. Some members have different timezones in their careers and family and eventually time commitment as a group was tough as well. Sometimes there are members who behave as echo chambers, agreeing to every input, and other times members behave like a quarreling couple, disputing over every fact.

Over time, morale dropped and the essence of having a mastermind was lost.

Chapter 3 - Experience:
I have personally experienced the benefits as well as pitfalls of forming and being in a mastermind, going through various versions of it, as well as going at it alone. I have also gotten mentors and have shared general and precise life lessons to others. I have also paid expensive courses learning how to be a coach with neurolinguistic skills and have coached others as well.

All these experiences pointed out to me that sometimes, we need to excel well ourselves. Being independent has the benefit of being extremely focused on our goals, since we have no one else we could rely on. In other times, we do need a team & mentors & coaches to improve our mindset, life, finance and so on. The trick is to have a fine-tuned balance of both.

Chapter 4 - What's in it for you:

The goal of This Mastermind is to create a community filled with unique people who can offer unique insights into various industries and when combined, able to thrive as a unique community far better than going at it alone.

Much like a pension fund being able to harness the might of thousands of people's small savings and turn it into a formidable monetary tool, or like how High Net Worth individuals tend to create a family office to manage their funds, This Mastermind's role at the beginning will act like a fractional family office for its members. And the goal of membership is to leverage on each member's unique strengths and expertise to accelerate the balance sheet (and potentially the cash flow, and profit) of the whole group. Therefore there are specific requirements we look for in membership.

That being said, we aim to grow This Mastermind's members total net worth by 20% annually by uncovering potential investment opportunities through vehicles such as equities, real estate, commodities, and so on as well as leveraging on group-thinking and bulk-buying through various investment and cash flow vehicles and tax benefits. Ultimately making This Mastermind into a secret compounding engine.

Adding onto that, we strive to elevate each member to carry a mindset of abundance by being part of something bigger than any individual.

Chapter 5 - What am I looking for:
By joining as a member you have to bring a form of benefit to other members; typically a useful work expertise, knowledge or resource, or work in a niche field in which no other members are of and can provide a unique perspective or first-hand knowledge of what's happening in your particular sector.

An example: I am well versed in the property rental industry, and hence I can "sense" whether the property market is slowing down as a whole, before the mainstream media is actually aware, and through discussing with This Mastermind members, we can then take advantage of any opportunities that may arise.

Additionally, members are required to comply certain requirements such as:

- Semi/Accredited Investor status (have at least $500,000 total net worth / make $100,000 per year / owns a business/asset that makes $200,000 per year); you are required to submit proof for this.
- Willing to work in various roles in This Mastermind; including operational and ground work.
- Commitment. Joining This Mastermind will cost USD 500/6 months (paid 1 year upfront, and pro-rated depending on your official joining date). As a member you are required to commit. This will ensure you play your role and get the best outcome for yourself and everyone else.

- Attitude requirement is critical. The 3 core attitude requirements we look for are:
1) being Humble to learn from others
2) have an Abundant mindset to actively share and improve This Mastermind
3) have an Entrepreneurial mindset, irregardless whether you are working or doing a business.
4) be Consistent. Show up on time, work on the outcome as assigned. Play your role and play it well.
5) putting This Mastermind as your 3rd Priority. (First 2 being your family/spiritual and your career).
6) Commit to Confidentiality. Trust is crucial for This Mastermind, and members must agree to keep discussions confidential. You will sign an Non-Disclosure Agreement and a Non-Compete Agreement. This allows for open sharing of personal and professional challenges by members without fear of outside exposure and threats. The rule is to cooperate, not cannibalize on one another.

Chapter 6 - Membership:
There will be a casual interview process to see if you are a fit for the group. The minimum membership duration is 1 year, thereafter you can chose to renew your membership by topping up your commitment fee or resign in a half-yearly period.

At the end of every financial year end for This Mastermind (on 31 Dec), you will be required to attend an AGM to review the accounts of This Mastermind, as well as to determine whether you intend to continue/resign.

Members who provide an investment opportunity or thesis that then goes on to achieve at least a 100% resultant gain after 1 year from the sharing of the idea will be entitled to a 1 year free membership! (therefore the power of abundance is important here. The more impactful the ideas, the more years free). Ideas will be kept into a spreadsheet for tracking.

Resignation:
If you opt to resign, you get to receive a refund of your paid commitment fees, after net of any costs (see below on what we do with the commitment fee).

What we will do with the commitment fee:
This commitment fee will be used to offset any spending on any tools that are important & useful to This Mastermind. Examples include: Zoom, ChatGPT, equity research tools such as Tikr and so on. Additionally there will be other mastermind associated costs such as accounting fees.

We also anticipate to spend on costs for physical gatherings such as travel costs, meeting venues, lodging and so on; however this may or may not be deducted into the commitment fee, it may be paid by members directly instead.

The remainder balance cash will be held in an investment portfolio with the focus on creating cash flow on the commitment fee; so that the commitment fees pooled itself will target at least 20% per year returns.

Chapter 7 - What do you do in the group:
We will have regular monthly zoom meetings (where camera and mic must be on throughout the meeting) set every 1st Thursday of the month, between 830-10pm. The meeting will last 1.5 hours for us to update hold each other accountable in their own income & investment objectives, 30 minutes to present and discuss any potential opportunities and review on the current state of the market and at the end of each session to set clear objectives. Meetings will start and end on time, and will be recorded and stored for members to replay.

We will have a telegram group to share on any brainstorming ideas instantly so as for members to read through historical chats, as well as voice memos to discuss ideas on the fly while being in different time zones.

We will have at least 1 annual physical retreat (usually held overseas) which will include the AGM meeting as well as a chance to perform physical research scuttlebutt!

Certain members will be delegated to handle certain tasks (a small token will be paid from the pooled commitment fee for the effort) such as the accounting aspects of the commitment fees for example.

======
As you can see, the time and monetary costs may not come cheap, therefore it Must be worthwhile for you (and hence the accredited investor requirement) prior to joining. It is therefore important that you are already doing fairly well in your career and have a sufficient cash buffer, so that you can leverage on the power of compounding to amplify your gains.

If you are just starting out in your career, I suggest for you to contact me personally, where I will recommend that you join RVLC (RV Learning Centre) which is more suited for young adults growing their careers.

If you are still keen to join and feel your goals are aligned to what we have set out to do, fill up this form and join our interest waiting-list! You will be contacted if you are a suitable candidate. Unfortunately I have to mention that the approval is not instant nor is it guaranteed, as membership fit must be achieved.
