Harvey Milk Photo Center proudly hosts critique sessions open to all current members. These friendly and supportive gatherings provide a unique opportunity for photographers and visual artists to share their work and receive valuable feedback from peers. If you'd like to join us, please register below. Please note each session allots time for four presentations, and those spots are filled on a first come first serve basis.
Presenting participants may bring a minimum of 1 to 10 pieces. Digital presentations are not permitted, please bring printed materials to present. A Harvey Milk staff member or a visiting artist will moderate the critique.
What to ExpectStructured Feedback: Each presenting participant gets a dedicated 15-minute block to present their work and receive constructive criticism. Presenters are strongly encouraged to show images that relate to each other allowing a more insightful conversation.

How to ParticipateHMPC is committed to providing a safe and inclusive space for its members. Behavior that disrespects a person’s rights, dignity, or self-worth will not be tolerated. When participating in critique, please be mindful to:
Allow everyone space to share their thoughts
Not dominate the conversation
Be constructive with your feedback – it’s an opportunity for growth!
Follow the instructor’s directions and time constraints
HMPC reserves the right to remove anyone not following these guidelines from a session in progress and/or any future critiques.
