Register Your Interest in Our Climate Week Event:  Driving Decarbonization through Insurance Innovation 
Environmental Defense Fund and the Salata Institute at Harvard University are hosting an interactive workshop on September 24th from 1-3:30pm as part of Climate Week in NYC. This interactive workshop will bring together multi-sector experts to explore meaningful solutions for how insurance can support and accelerate decarbonization.  Through a series of facilitated small group discussions, participants will have the opportunity to collaborate with other experts, discuss emerging topics, and share new ideas. 

Small group discussions will focus on:
- Clean Tech Sandbox: How can developers of clean technologies, essential to the energy transition, speed deployment by better understanding and managing their risks, and understanding the need for insurance and the insurability of their projects? Table Host: Peter Tufano, Harvard Business School
- Climate Endorsements: How can the claims process be used to drive the decarbonization or heightened resilience of buildings and fleets at the time of rebuilding? Table Host: Carolyn Kousky, Environmental Defense Fund
- Insurance and the Energy Transition: How can insurers help high-emitters with their energy transition and help to accelerate the transition? Table Host: Maggie Peloso, Chubb Insurance  
Collaboration & Innovation: What are outside-the-box ideas for how insurers can more rapidly support climate action? How can insurers collaborate with each other and with other industries and sectors to spur climate action? Table Host: Leslie Labruto, Environmental Defense Fund
