COVID19 Vaccine VOLUNTEER Registration
As vaccines become more widely available to an older population, many individuals are being challenged by the technology and know-how needed to sign up for vaccination appointments. Jewish Family and Child Service Portland and Positive Charge! PDX are matching volunteers with older adults in the Portland metro area to help them navigate the registration process.
Please see below for ways you can offer support! This is a rapidly evolving project, working with a rapidly evolving COVID19 vaccine accessibility situation so we appreciate your patience and flexibility in helping make our efforts successful.

I understand that I am not able to provide the senior adults with whom I speak any advice whatsoever related to finances, health, mental health, crisis intervention, etc., and that I will refer them to social services available at Jewish Family and Child Service of Portland (open to everyone), as well as additional social services in the metro area as listed on the FAQ spreadsheet. I will not discuss or share this information with anyone outside the PC! PDX - JFCS project, or use this information outside the purposes of this PC! PDX - JFCS project, for any reason. Senior adults are particularly vulnerable to fraud and identity theft, and I understand that breaking the confidentiality of the senior adults with whom I speak can result in significant harm to them. Due to the the sensitive information our volunteers will be exposed to during this process of assisting seniors, JFCS and Positive Charge! PDX are required to provide background checks for all volunteers working on this project. The cost of each background check is $15. To offset this, we invite volunteers to donate the cost of the charge to run the background check, if possible, but no one will be turned away, and the cost will be covered with no questions asked. In return, JFCS asks would like to add you to their volunteer list. Please select all choices that are applicable. All information received is strictly confidential.
