AmeriCorps members develop important skills, receive hands on experience, improve their communities, and are eligible to receive a Segal AmeriCorps Education Award upon successful completion of all program requirements. AmeriCorps members serving with the YWCA, CASA, and Hastings Literacy Program also receive monthly living stipends in addition to the potential Education Award. AmeriCorps allows individuals seeking higher education the opportunity to lessen their financial burden, earn meaningful experience, and make a positive impact on their communities.
