This form is to gather initial information from Young Parents (aged under 20) about their childcare funding needs while studying at college. (Leeds City College, Keighley College, Harrogate College, Leeds Sixth Form and Pudsey Sixth Form)
The college has a childcare fund called 'Care to Learn' which is money provided by the Government to help young parents aged under 20 with their childcare costs while they study further education courses up to and including level 3.
Some parents may qualify for other childcare funding schemes, they will be expected to take up this funding first, Care to Learn can help with additional childcare hours needed so a parent can attend their course.
For students aged 20 and over, please check the college website for information about childcare funding.
After you fill in this form an adviser will contact you to help you with the next steps of applying for 'Care to Learn' funding. You will be asked to provide evidence of the child/ children (Birth Certificate) and evidence that the child is your dependant (Child Benefit evidence).
Your childcare provider will have to provide information about their costs in a quote form, agree a contract with the college's Finance Department and provide regular invoices for the care they have provided.
