Need-Based Aid Application
At York University, we understand that every student’s financial situation is unique, and sometimes the FAFSA or other standard forms don’t tell the whole story. This Need-Based Application gives you the opportunity to share more details about your circumstances so we can see if you may qualify for additional aid or a Professional Judgment (an adjustment to your FAFSA information). After reviewing your application, you may be asked to meet in person with the Director of Financial Aid to fully determine your eligibility. Depending on your financial situation, we may also need official documents from the IRS, which means we may have to wait until after your taxes have been filed and accepted by the IRS for the current year before making a final decision. While completing this application does not guarantee additional assistance, it ensures that your situation will be reviewed carefully and with understanding.
