There are very few guides on how to pronounce neopronouns, and some of the guides that exist have unintuitive suggestions that people may not be following. So this is a survey to find out how people are actually using neopronouns!
(Note 1: Please don't do fill this out for traditional pronouns! 'He', 'she', 'they', and 'it' all have commonly known pronunciations, and I don't need that data! Even if you mix the forms up in interesting ways! But forms like 'heshe' or 's/he' WOULD be helpful!)
(Note 2: Please don't add nounself pronouns! Those are pronouns based on things. Star/star, Kit/kit, and Vam/vamp (based on 'vampire') are all nounself pronouns, and won't fit into this survey very well.)
You'll be asked to split up each set of neopronouns you know into 5 forms:
1. Subject - the form when someone is doing something. 'THEY are kind.'
2. Object
- the form when something is happening to someone. 'The dog loves HER.'
3. Dependent Possessive - shows someone possesses something that immediately follows. 'Jan ran to THEIR car.'
4. Independent Possessive
- shows someone possesses something that doesn't immediately follow. 'The lizard is HIS.'
5. Reflexive - the form when someone is doing something to themself. 'One should always help ONESELF.'
and then break up each form into a starting consonant(s) and the rest (the coda) to explain how it is pronounced.
