Why I Love My Library

Nassau's 54 public libraries are the heart of their communities -  no matter the moment, the library is for everyone. Whether it is making lifelong friends at story time, earning volunteer service hours for graduation, learning new technology skills, getting help landing a new job, or discovering the tales and stories that become forever favorites, your library is here for you.

Libraries need your help. You know first-hand how important having high-quality services are to Nassau residents - it's time to show them some love!

Believe it or not, libraries received less financial support from New York State this year than in 2007. After yet another year of flat funding from the Governor,  long term damage to the library services you love and rely on is looming. Nassau residents - and all New Yorkers - deserve better.

We want to tell Governor Hochul and our state legislators just what local library service means to you. Please take a moment to share why you are grateful for your library.
