If you are interested in joining or forming a robotics team for the new school year, please fill out the following information and we will be in touch when we begin organizing teams for the new school year starting in May-June 2023. If you have questions before that time, you can email them to teamokcrobotics@gmail.com.
FIRST Robotics Competition is our flagship program for high school students. We will meet once every 1-2 weeks in the offseason (2-4 hours per meeting) and 12-20 hours per week during FRC season (Jan-March).
FIRST Tech Challenge is our program for 7th-8th grade students. FTC teams are organized by interested parents or teachers and assisted by FRC students and mentors. Teams will meet 4-8 hours per week during Sep-Jan and occasionally during other parts of the year.
FIRST Lego League Challenge teams for 4th-8th graders are organized by interested parents or teachers and assisted by FRC&FTC students and mentors. Teams will meet 4-6 hours per week during Aug-Nov and occasionally during other parts of the year.
FIRST Lego League Explore teams for K-3rd graders are organized by interested parents or teachers and assisted by FRC&FTC students and mentors. Teams will meet 1-3 hours per week during Aug-Nov.
Team OKC Robotics 4-H Club members who are not on a team will have monthly to bimonthly meetings with a robotics or other STEM outreach activity organized by older students, parents, and mentors.
Teachers or Parents who are interested in learning how to coach a team should sign up as well! We are happy to help you start a team for your class or after school program. Just list yourself as both "student" and "parent" in the form and leave us a note in the discussion. We can work with you to help find funding for a robot for your team.
