The Robert K. Ross Center Community Advisory Board
The California Endowment (TCE) has partnered with Linc Housing to transform the backlot of TCE’s existing property in downtown Los Angeles into a thriving, mixed-use campus with housing and services that promotes “hope and healing” for Los Angeles’ diverse communities.  The proposed development includes affordable and supportive apartment homes for low-income individuals and families earning 30% to 60% of the area median income, and a community center for the surrounding neighborhood.  Wraparound supportive services will be provided to a percentage of residents who have experienced homelessness.  The development will also transform the surrounding neighborhood into a more walkable, connected and welcoming environment

To inform the various project stages, the Robert K. Ross Center for Hope and Healing (The Ross Center)  project team is creating many community engagement opportunities to solicit specific feedback as needed. The Ross Center Community Advisory Board (CAB) is one such opportunity that we hope you or your organization would consider joining.

The CAB seeks to be a time-limited convening of diverse stakeholders managed by Linc Housing for the sole purpose of providing input on specific project stages. While the CAB may participate in more in depth-conversations on project components, its input is advisory and will be considered on par with other feedback processes hosted by the Ross Center project team.

To ensure a variation in opinions and experiences, applicants may be an individual or represent an organization, and representation from the following demographics is strongly encouraged:

1) Persons returning to community after incarceration
2) Persons experiencing homelessness/houselessness
3) Persons living with disabilities
4) Youth (ages 16 to 24)
5) Elders (aged 55+)
6) Legacy communities representing the historical and cultural history of the project area
7) Neighborhood residents residing within proximity to the project site
8) Housing justice and care-first (justice reinvestment) advocates
9) Business owners and vendors from neighborhoods adjacent to the project site.
