Health Pioneers is a charity that empowers young people to shape the health of their communities by improving their environment, providing a platform to cultivate and voice their ideas, ensuring representation and equipping them with the tools to make the change needed.
www.healthpioneerscharity.comPathways to Health is a health education and leadership programme part of the Charity that empowers young people to work with health professionals to design, implement, and lead a project that solves a health problem.
To apply students must have created an idea to solve a health problem their community faces. The young people will be supported, mentored, and coached by local health care professional in small groups for optimal engagement with the intention of fostering supportive relationships between peers and supervising mentors to help develop their idea from conception to implementation.
The programme will end with the young people graduating obtaining the Health Pioneers Award (and if they want to the CREST AWARD), presenting their projects they have worked on and celebrating the impact they have made.
Alongside fostering supportive relationships between peers and supervising mentors to help develop their project idea and implement it, Pathways to Health Programme has weekend courses and virtual events to help equip them with health knowledge and leadership skills.
