MAGNANIMOUS MUG AWARD 2019
Join Fort George as we present the annual Magnanimous Mug – an award bestowed upon one noble person who is dedicated to making this community a better place. Many will compete, but only one will hoist the Magnanimous Mug and earn up to a $10,000 matching donation for a nonprofit of their choice.
The Magnanimous Mug Award will be chosen on Benefit Night, the last Tuesday of the month. If you would like to help us choose the winner, join us on Tuesday, November 26th at 6pm in the upstairs pizzeria at Fort George.
If you are looking to participate, the first step is to apply. We will notify those that qualify very soon, so you can start raising money for you nonprofit. We do cap participation at 12 for the evening. Here are the Magnanimous Mug Award fundamentals for 2019:
1) Choose a nonprofit you are really passionate about. To compete for the Magnanimous Mug Award, the nonprofit must be local, spending 100% of the funds you help raise in our area - Tillamook, Clatsop, Pacific, Grays Harbor, or Wahkiakum counties. To view guidelines on acceptable nonprofits, go to
. Current and former Benefit Night participants may also compete for the Magnanimous Mug.
2) Raise money for your nonprofit and bring them to the event night. Only cash and checks (made out to your nonprofit) brought to the Magnanimous Mug Award on Tuesday, November 27th will count toward the contest. More money will be raised that night. All tallies will be done at the event, with the winners announced at 8pm.
3) Donations from Fort George will be awarded to the top three fundraisers - up to $10,000 for 1st place, up to $5,000 for 2nd place, and up to $1,000 for 3rd. The overall winner will also hoist the Magnanimous Mug for all of 2019. This is a Fort George Mug Club mug, with all of the perks associated with that exclusive club. If you are not a beer drinker and you win the top award, you may gift the mug to a friend or loved one of your choice.
4) You have to be in it to win it. Come to Fort George on Tuesday, November 26th starting at 6pm for the Magnanimous Mug Award, and get the word out to help fill the place. More donations for your nonprofits will be collected that night, with some surprises and additional prizes. It is our goal to announce the results by 8pm.
