Who should come? Mental Health Student Leaders from YOUR school accompanied by teachers and parent/guardian volunteers. 

Cost? This program is provided free to participating schools by Erin Mills Connects community collaborative and University of Toronto Mississauga’s Centre for Child Development, Mental Health, and Policy. Thank you to the Region of Peel and the City of Mississauga for their financial support. 

What's included? 

-NEW evidence-informed curriculum  

-Pizza lunch and light snacks for students, accompanying teachers and volunteers 

-Opening and closing activities by Coach Miguel Martinez, president of MTClife

-Six fun and engaging workshops for each student 

-Plus, schools will be reimbursed for transportation to and from the community centre, if needed (schools are responsible for arranging taxi vans to take their students and adult supervisors to and from the community centre). 

OUR NEW CURRICULUM from the University of Toronto Mississauga's Centre for Child Development, Mental Health, and Policy focuses on:

The 3Es, which consist of emotion regulation, empathy for the self, and empathy for others. These are important concepts for personal and social development.

Required
K-8, K-5 and K-6 elementary schools are invited to bring up to 10 students from grades 4 and up.  Middle schools are invited to bring up to 15 students.
