A Discussion with Dr. Kulkarni, Indian Consul General in Atlanta
Dr. Swati Vijay Kulkarni is India's Consul General in Atlanta. A career diplomat, her prior postings have included South Africa, Oman, the United Kingdom, Mauritius, Spain, Austria, Cyprus, Greece, Slovenia, Switzerland, Liechtenstein & Holy See, Malta, Portugal, Ireland, and Spain.

Dr. Kulkarni will be hosting two events on Tuesday, September 15, 2020 as part of the 2020-21 Dean Rusk International Law Center Consular Series:


11:00 - 11:45 am: Open Forum with Indian international students and UGA's Office of Immigration Services
Welcome and Introduction: Robin Catmur-Smith, Director of Immigration Services, UGA

12:00 - 1:00 pm: Lecture and Discussion on India-US Bilateral Relations
Welcome: Lori A. Ringhand, Interim Director of the Dean Rusk International Law Center & J. Alton Hosch Professor of Law
Introduction: Anita Ninan, Principal Attorney, Ninan Legal LLC & Member, Advisory Council, Dean Rusk International Law Center
Question & Answer Session: Sarah Quinn, Associate Director for Global Practice Preparation

While all students are invited to attend both events, the Open Forum is designed specifically for Indian international students who may have visa questions.

The Dean Rusk International Law Center Consular Series presents perspectives on international trade, development, policy, and cooperation. Dr. Kulkarni's visit is co-sponsored by the International Law Society, the Asian Law Student Association, and the Indian Student Association.
