New Promoter Scheme – EOI
We are offering an exciting training opportunity for people who’d like to better understand how to programme films for audiences in Scotland through the New Promoters scheme. This role aims to increase the number of film programmers who are marginalised working for cinemas, festivals and venues within Scotland. This includes those marginalised due to race, gender, sexuality, age, class, and disability. This comes from a recognition that these identities are not adequately represented within the Scottish screen industry.

This Scheme will be hosted by three organisations between November 2019 – April 2020. Each candidate will work for one organisation but have the opportunity to meet and engage with others taking part in the scheme.

The role will be office based and you will be supported to show films and create events, learning about distributor negotiations, screening formats, film transport, venue selection, audience development and how to create an effective marketing campaign.

In addition to this we will provide training from film industry experts in selecting and showing films, creating and running events, organising festivals and marketing.

You don’t need any previous film experience, just a passion for cinema and an interest in working in the industry.
If this sounds like the opportunity for you, please complete an application. This can be done in one of the following ways:
1) Our online Google Form
2) A short video filmed on your mobile phone, email to: justine@africa-in-motion.org.uk
3) Or if you don’t have internet access, then you can apply by text to this number 07971740678

**Deadline for applications 5pm Friday 25 October**

The New Promotors Scheme is supported by Film Hub Scotland.
