MUSIC Proposal

B-SIDE is a DIY space located within FARSIDE. Our goal is to support, and hold space for the Hamilton arts community by offering a free-to-use space for shows. Submissions are reviewed monthly, at the beginning of each month. B-SIDE is open to musicians, DJs and performers. To begin, we will be hosting between zero and two shows per month. If you wish to perform at B-SIDE, please fill in this form.

Some extra info....
Priority is given to Hamilton residents and people who self identify with an equity seeking group.
We will assist with marketing through social media.
We will assist with a pop-up bar and staff in the space.
We will respond to every proposal once it is reviewed. Applicants can expect a response within 2 weeks of the submission deadline.
The space will be available for a sound check prior to the event, either the night of, or the night before.

Accessibility: If entering from the front of the building, there is a step down into the gallery space. If entering from the rear of the building there are no steps and doors are 32 inches wide. There is a step between the gallery space and the washrooms. The washroom door is 36 inches wide. There are no automatic doors on site.

I understand that B-SIDE is a DIY space which means that I will be required to set up and run my show

I understand that B-SIDE is not responsible for lost, stolen or broken items that we bring into the space

I understand that B-SIDE does not provide a cash float for door charge

I understand that I will need to provide my own sound tech if necessary for my performance

I understand that I will need to provide my own door person to accept cover charge

I understand that FARSIDE patrons are welcome to move through the space to reach the patio

I understand that FARSIDE requires a $100 deposit incase of intentional damages to the sound system caused by negligence or incompetence
