Senator Michael Hastings is working to protect our online privacy by putting laws in place to update Illinois’ cyber security and creating a transparency.
U.S. Congress is selling your personal information to the highest bidder. The U.S. House and Senate have voted to revoke protections put in place last fall.
It is your personal information. You should know who is storing your records and who has access to it.
The need for state-level cybersecurity regulations is more important than ever. As the federal government continues their mission to erode the rights and privacy of our citizens, I will do whatever Senator Hastings will work to protect Illinois residents’ privacy and security.
However, we need your help.
To protect your right to know who has your personal information, please take a second to stand with me against the federal government’s brash attempt to sell our personal information to the highest bidder.
Tell Congress that you want the federal government to put people before big corporations.
If you agree with me that big business should not have access to your web browser history, the websites you access and your personal information then take a second to fill out this petition.
Share this petition with your friends, neighbors and family. We need to work together to blatant attempt to sell your browsing history to the highest bidder. As always if you have any questions or concerns don’t hesitate to contact Senator Hastings’ Frankfort Office at (815) 464-5431 or visit www.SenatorHastings.com to send an email.
