The Fall Fair will take place in the front lawn of First Church in Jamaica Plain on Saturday, October 18 2025 from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Vendors will be welcome to set up beginning at 9:30 AM.

How does space work?
Spaces for vendors are arranged on the lawns around the church. Spaces are rented by linear feet on the aisle at $12 per foot. We also charge a flat $7 per spot. The minimum rental is 4 feet on the aisle. (a card table will fit in this space, with space for vendor behind it) 4 feet costs $55, 5 feet costs $67, and so on. The church will provide chairs for vendors. The depth for most spots is generally 6-8 feet going back, although there are some obstacles in certain spots – for example, a flower garden or a tree. We ask that all vendors approach the space assignments with a spirit of cooperation – and we will strive to achieve efficient space use beneficial to all.

This is an unpaved, grassy yard in a central town square – some portions are paved walkways, some are woodchip/mulch. It is not perfectly flat, although prior vendors have not found that to be a problem. We recommend that you come look at the space if you are concerned – e-mail us to set up a time.

Do you supply tables?
Sorry, no - vendors must supply their own tables. We do have some tables, so if you are coming by T or lack of a table will keep you away, please ask!

How about power?
Electricity is not available. But you have your own power as a human being!

Can I bring a canopy or tent?
Canopies are permitted but not required. Please let us know if you are bringing one. Most canopies are 10 X 10, so you need a 10 foot spot ($127). If you think a smaller spot would work, but you have a canopy you want to bring, we can set up a share. So you could rent a 6' spot, and make friends with a 4' person (that's the table length, we wouldn't know the height of a person!) or you could rent a 5' spot, and share with another 5'er.

What if it rains?
In the event of inclement weather, vendors will be permitted to move inside or to continue to brave it outside. No payment adjustments will be made due to weather. We encourage vendors to bring tarps to cover their tables so that they can wait out brief showers.

Cancellation policy
Vendors are responsible for space charges whether or not they are able to attend; full payment must be received in advance in order to secure a space. If a vendor cancels with at least two weeks’ notice, the Church will attempt to fill the space with another vendor. If the space can be filled, the vendor's payment will be refunded, however if the church is not able to fill the space, the vendor will be not be refunded.

Publicity?
The church will advertise the event in advance in local newspapers, web sites, by hanging flyers and in the weekly church bulletin. We also encourage vendors to advertise and will provide electronic copies of flyers for your posting, and hard copies if we can arrange the transfer (we can't cover postage, but if you are local you can pick up stacks of flyers).
