Mental health professionals are dedicated to the well-being of their clients,
but often at the expense of their own self-care. Professional impairment due to burnout, stress, and ethical breaches can compromise the quality of care provided.
This workshop explores ethical responsibilities related to self-care, professional impairment, and ethical standards outlined by the Alabama Board of Examiners in Counseling (ABEC) Code of Ethics and the Alabama Board of Marriage and Family Therapy (ABMFT) Code of Ethics.
Participants will engage in discussions on recognizing impairment, maintaining professional responsibility, and implementing ethical self-care strategies. The workshop will conclude with an experiential breathwork session, incorporating Bee Breath (Bhramari), Alternate Nostril Breathing (Nadi Shodhana), and Breath of Fire (Kapalabhati) to promote regulation and stress reduction. June 12, 2025 10:30am to 1pm training . CE certificates will be emailed to participants upon completion the workshop evaluation form.
