Cast Off: Multifaith Tashlich Shedding Ritual in Support of Immigrants
Tuesday, October 1 / 5:00pm - 6:00pm / Stuyvesant Cove Park at the East River, by 23rd Street (6 Train to 23rd)

We’ve stood together this past year, more committed to each other - and with greater awareness of the danger that we now face - the fear and hate of others, the building of border and senseless fences, our kids in cages, the criminalization of whole communities, our prophets in chains. As we greet the Jewish New Year, let us raise our voices together for the dignity of human life and demand a #NewWayForward, united in our resistance to tyranny.

Let us call out and cast off the wrongs that have happened to immigrants in past years - through ritual, song, poetry and righteous indignation. Let us dedicate this sacred moment to the right to resist and the power to persist - immigrants, allies, and all of us who rise for reason and love.

In Partnership with the New Sanctuary Coalition, Immigration Defense Project, East End Temple, Lab/Shul, Judson Church, Cordoba House, Muslim Community Network, 14th Street Y, and Downtown Jewish Life.
