Justice at Work: A Survey on Unionizing in Anti-Violence Organizations
The We Deserve Better Project (WDBP) is seeking to better understand the experiences of current and former workers within the gender-based violence field who have thought about, attempted to, or successfully unionized. We take an expansive view of the field to include any organization interrupting or responding to all forms of gender-based violence.

The purpose of this survey is to explore how unionizing has been or could be used as a tool to improve anti-violence workplaces by

-Learning what organizing tactics were successful and what barriers to unionize were encountered

-Identifying common trends in the experiences of those attempting to unionize anti-violence organizations

We wish to collect the wisdom of anti-violence workers to create a blueprint for transforming our movement. Our hope is that we will collectively reflect and crowdsource ways we can build a more sustainable future within the anti-violence field.

It should take about 20 minutes to complete.

We intend to share the results of this survey and make a survey report accessible to the public.

This survey is anonymous unless you provide your name and email address. If you choose to provide your name, your name will not be associated with responses on the report.
