General Qualifications of an Outreach Volunteer - The following are general qualities of a person who should do well on an outreach team. Please read through the list and carefully consider: - Spiritual faith (Have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and have had a consistent walk with the Lord demonstrating spiritual growth) - Good interpersonal skills (Must be a team player, must not have a self-serving attitude, must be ready to share and serve with the rest of the team) - Social, emotional, and personal stability (Must have the qualities of teachability, adaptability, flexibility, and self-discipline) - Submission to those in authority (Is always willing and ready to follow the decisions of the team leaders, trusting that God put that responsibility on them) - A servant attitude (A willingness to serve with Christ’s love in a way that is trauma informed and consistent with Source’s mission) - Realistic expectations (Must understand we cannot rescue people and that trust takes time to build. Has the proper perspective by realizing that ultimately God will do the greatest good according to His will) - Ability to relate cross-culturally (Is sensitive to other cultures as well as their own, and not given into personal cultural biases; willing to learn about other cultures) - Sexual purity (Is free from any sexual addiction for two or more years. Does not engage in any form of sexual activity outside of marriage, including watching pornography. A past problem in this area does not necessarily disqualify an applicant provided they are honest and transparent during the application process. Key determining factors include strong convictions and accountability that have been present for at least one year.) Please print your full name if you believe you possess these qualifications:
