Thank you for your support of RED Arena. For Spring we will continue with the use of masks at all times and sessions are only in San Marcos. By Summer we will require full vaccination to volunteer and mask use only when necessary. We will flip between San Marcos and Dripping Springs in the Summer.

Once we receive this form we will email you with the next new volunteer orientation training date.

THERE ARE 2 SECTIONS TO COMPLETE. This form can not be saved to edit/continue at a later time, so you will need to complete both sections in one sitting and click "submit". If you have any problems or questions you can email us at info@REDarena.org

Weekly Volunteer Availability
For the Fall and Spring
San Marcos volunteers are needed for 4-5 hours shifts 3-4 days a week or 2-3 hours 1 day per week for the Fall.
Dripping Springs volunteers less needed this fall since all the riding programs will be in San Marcos but there will be some weekly and some special projects we contact you for.

For Summer
We will flip weeks this summer between San Marcos and Dripping Springs. Mornings will be horse camps and afternoons will be regular riding sessions. Proof of vaccinations will be required for all staff and volunteers starting June 1. Mask use will not be mandatory but will be required under special circumstances.

New Volunteers:
All new volunteers will complete the general orientation training and can then be scheduled for Barn Skills Training. Barn skills is more detailed training on RED's procedures for safety, barn chores, horse care and daily operations. Once the Barn Skills Training is complete you can move on to Lead Volunteer and/or Side Walker Training.

Please let us know ALL your options for your general availability to volunteer. Once you complete the orientation we will confirm a regular weekly shift time.

If you can not volunteer weekly, there are more options below in "Special Projects"

Special Projects Volunteer
If you can not volunteer regularly during the week or you would also like to help with other projects, we have lots of options! You do not need to attend orientation to volunteer for these. And they are great options for if you'd like to enlist your family, friends, coworkers, church group or club to help.

Maintenance: Volunteers are needed to help with spreading mulch on the trails, creating new trails, clearing brush or rocks and various other tasks on Sat or Sunday for 2-4 hours, typically every other month.

Theme Packs: Your group can collect and donate 100 craft packs for our participants to complete. For ex: a foam cut out of a horse/heart/flower that can be decorated with yarn/pipe cleaners and beads to make a bracelet/necklace/ornament. We can provide samples and more info.

Trail or Seasonal Theme: Groups can create a new permanent activity on the trail. For ex: wooden cut outs of animals/charters. We can provide more info.

Marketing, fundraising, social media, press releases, newsletters... if this is your strength, please help us!!

There's also Round-Up, Horse Camp and Horse conditioning info below.

Please let us know your interest in any of these and we will email you more info.

kinda like Round-Up Volunteer - May 21-23
Round-Up is our annual horse show and largest fundraiser. Details are on the website Round-Up page.
With the uncertainty and to be cautious, we will spread out the horseshow over several days and limit community involvement.

We hope to resume with the full events including the horse show in May 2021 and will need over 200 volunteers to make this great event even better each year. We hope we can count on your help! You can sign up now and we'll email you again as it gets closer with more details and to confirm.
