Professorial Lecture Series (PLS) - #23
The Professorial Lecture Series (PLS) is an initiative by Sunway University’s Research Services Office to showcase the diverse range of research undertaken at the University, and highlight the academic endeavors of the professorial staff. The PLS is part of the University’s efforts in disseminating knowledge through free public talks to the wider community. It is FREE admission with RSVP. All are invited!
The details of the talk are as follows:
Lecture Title: "INCLUSIVE WORKPLACE AND SOCIETY: RESEARCH IN THEORIES AND PRACTICES"
Date : 26th March 2020 (Thursday)
Time : 5:30pm to 7:00pm
Venue : Lecture Theater 4, UG (West Wing)
This lecture will cover past, current and emerging research in relation to inclusive workplace and society. By putting the pieces together, this lecture will begin by differentiating the term of inclusion from diversity and provide plausible explanations why inequitable employment practices may still exist in workplaces. With this backdrop, this lecture will provide knowledge on how mangers may create more inclusive workplaces for all and conclude with discussion on how inclusion research may address one of Sustainable Development Goals of United Nations to reduce income inequalities in regions.
*Note: Light refreshments will be served at 5:00pm to 5:25pm, before the lecture starts.
