Eldridge Street (between Division Street and Grand Street), Manhattan's Chinatown
Weekend Walks are outdoor street events that activate the community that it is hosted in by using the streets as additional public space for the community. Throughout the year, Community based organizations like Chinatown Partnership apply for permission to close commercial streets in order to provide active programming that highlights local businesses in their community.
Join us in Manhattan's Chinatown to celebrate Earth Day and help contribute to a more sustainable, greener, and cleaner planet. Learn about how to compost, recycle, and reduce your carbon footprint while making Chinatown a more beautiful place to visit, work, and live! We are excited to work with local partners to make this event fun, lively and educational for our community. We hope you would consider collaborating with us for our Earth Day Event. If you would like to participate, please complete the following form by April 19.
We will be providing tables, chairs, and tents for the day of the event. Additionally, we will provide the manpower to support participating organizations and to ensure smooth operations throughout the day. All we need now is great organizations like yours to come out and shine on the day of. My colleagues, Samantha and Lamgen, and I are available to coordinate and discuss in further detail about possible activities that your organization could host or just get into the community to educate the public about the services you provide.
