Biological Samples Stored Long Term at -70 C or Warmer
In 2011 the University of Colorado Boulder Green Labs Program began the first database cataloging scientific samples stored at -70 C. With permission from the CU Green Labs Program, My Green Lab is updating this database with additions from participants in the annual Freezer Challenge. Please complete this form to add your lab's data to the new spreadsheet cataloging the shift of ultra-low temperature freezer set points to -70 C and the samples your lab stores at this temperature. We appreciate your contributions! Please note that any data you contribute will be publicly available on the internet, like this database's predecessor. Thank you for contributing.

Sample Type - select all that apply *
Required
If you selected "Other" from the Sample Type question above, please write in the other Sample Types you store at -70 C.
Details of sample analysis confirming stability and efficacy of samples stored at approximately -70 C. Any information you can provide will be helpful to other researchers that want to make this switch.
What is your current Ultra Low Temperature Freezer set point (ºC)? Note, this database is only for samples stored warmer than -72 C. *
Year the above-mentioned samples were placed in freezer at above temperature *
What was the first year your lab changed the ultra-low temperature freezer set point to warmer than -80 C? *
Full name of research institution/hospital/company where samples are stored *
The country in which your research institution/hospital/company is located *
Department Name / Group Name / Research Area *
Examples: Biochemistry, Cell Biology, Quality Control, Biologics Manufacturing, Anatomy, Plant Science, etc.
Principal Investigator / Lab Lead Name *
Your Name *
Optional: Your Email or Main Laboratory Email Address
If you are comfortable sharing it and it being public on the -70 C database, please include your email address below. This is entirely optional. If you share it, other scientists may reach out if they have questions about storing similar sample types at -70 C. If you would prefer your email address to not be listed publicly, instead of filling out this field you may instead write My Green Lab at freezerchallenge@mygreenlab.org and let us know you just added a submission to the -70 C database, and give us permission to share your email just with other scientists that specifically reach out to us about your lab's -70 C database entry.
