One losing candidate will be an appointed exec at large.
Nomination Day: March 1 Meeting where in-person nominations will take place
Nominations will close MARCH 11 at 8:00am.
Election Candidates will be announced on MARCH 11 in an Mailing List Blast.
Candidates will have a week to campaign and get persons out to the SOCA Election.
Election shall be held at 12:00p.m March 22 at SOCA till General Meeting time (Meeting starts at 5pm in SFPIRG or BCSC). Ballot Closes at 6pm.

Must be an SFU Undergraduate or Graduate student as well as a SOCA member (Via website sign-up) to be eligible.
(The term of these positions will last until March when a full election will be held for all positions)
4.2 With the president, shall provide strategic focus for theobjectives of the organization; shall assist the president in all duties; shallbe a temporary replacement for a member of the Executive, if/when themember is unable to complete his/her duties or term; shall oversee accessto Association’s assets and resources, particularly the Association officeand all Association resources maintained therein; shall work closely withthe President to create comprehensive recruitment strategies for theaugmentation of an enthusiastic membership.
4.3 VP External Relations/ERO: shall represent Association objectives toindependent organizations and associations; shall co-ordinatecorrespondence between the Association and external sponsors,organizations and associations; shall liaise with Internal Relations Officerconcerning communiqués of relevance to general membership; shall liaisewith Information Technology Officer to ensure relevant information isposted on the official Association website; shall be in charge of the externaldistribution of promotional materials prior to official Association events.
4.4 VP Internal Relations/IRO: shall represent Association objectives to on campusorganizations and associations; shall co-ordinate correspondencebetween the Association and internal sponsors, organizations andassociations; shall liaise with External Relations Officer concerningcommuniqués of relevance to general membership; shall liaise withInformation Technology Officer to ensure relevant information is postedon the official Association website; shall oversee the internal distributionof promotional materials prior to official Association events.
4.5 Secretary: shall record and maintain the records of Executive andGeneral meetings; shall maintain a membership list and records ofmembership presence at all meetings; shall maintain the association’sposter boards in accordance with the directions of the Executive; shallprepare and present regular reports of organization activities to the generalmembership and oversees all general communiqués within theAssociation.
4.6 Treasurer: shall maintain a record of the allocation of Association fundsfor the duration of his/her tenure, specifically an account of fundsreceived and spent; shall maintain a detailed record of the Association’sassets and liabilities, including all materials either purchased by or onloan to the Association; shall prepare a draft budget ahead of the nextsemester based on proposed functions and events to be undertaken by theAssociation.
4.8 Events Coordinator: shall be responsible for the planning and organizingof the association’s events; shall liaise with External & Internal RelationsOfficer concerning upcoming and potential sponsorships for proposedevents; shall liaise with the executive body concerning upcoming &potential events; shall be the primary contact person for all events.
4.9 Exec-at-Large: Shall take on responsibilities that fit within his or hercapabilities and time constraints; It is not mandatory that the Exec-at-largehave a specific portfolio; In the event that the Exec-At-Large has aspecific portfolio, the name of the position may be renamed to be inaccordance to the roles of the portfolio, for example, a First YearRepresentative
