Human Rights Forum: Potential Speakers
Dear Augsburg Community,

We are excited to be moving forward with the next iteration of the Forum and want to get as much input as possible from the campus community in regards to potential speakers and programming.

Below is a partial list of some potential speakers (both global and domestic). The new Forum will continue to bring together students, global change-makers, and local activists to explore innovative ways to take constructive action on issues identified as priorities by the Augsburg community. The survey we administered in Fall 2018 identified racial justice, indigenous rights, and environmental sustainability as top priorities.

Dates are confirmed for Monday and Tuesday, October 28 and 29, 2019. This is right after the midterm break, and classes will be held on their regular schedule on those days. Faculty are invited to have their classes attend Forum events, and can potentially invite some of these speakers to visit in their classes.

As mentioned in the survey administered last fall, we invite you to help prioritize our set of 20 speakers by selecting your top 3—5 choices from the list below. At the bottom of this survey there is also the opportunity to list additional speakers who could speak to the broad theme of human rights.

Please provide your response by Monday, March 11.
