Thank you for your interest in adopting a rescue dog with Nicosia Dog Shelter. To ensure the best possible placement of our rescue dogs and to ensure that the adoption is in the best interest of the animal as well as you and your family, we ask that you complete the form below with honesty. 

We would like to inform you that the NDS reserves the rights to reject any potential adopter or expression of interest that is deemed to be unsuitable for the chosen dog/puppy or that do not comply with NDS adoption policies.

Adopting a dog is a long term commitment which could be for 10-18 years, please ensure you are committed to be this dog’s family, FOREVER. We are always available as rescue back up should you have any questions or concerns.

ADOPTION FEES
Puppies – €220
Includes:
  • 2–3 vaccines (depending on age)
  • Worming & flea/tick treatment
  • Microchip
  • Neutering & Complete Blood Count test (if age appropriate)
  • Duo test for Ehrlichia and Leishmania (if over 7 months old)
  • 4DX test for Heartworm, Lyme disease, Ehrlichia canis & Anaplasma (if over 7 months old)
Adult Dogs – €230
Includes:
  • 2 vaccines
  • Worming & flea/tick treatment
  • Microchip
  • Neutering & Complete Blood Count test
  • Duo test for Ehrlichia and Leishmania
  • 4DX test for Heartworm, Lyme disease, Ehrlichia canis & Anaplasma
  • IFAT test for Leishmania (full government blood test; you will receive a copy of the results)
Additional Care

All dogs are dewormed on arrival at the shelter and every 5 months thereafter.
From April to September, we administer NexGard monthly for tick and flea prevention.
