This comprehensive, hands-on course introduces students to key welding processes and their real-world applications in fabrication and metalworking. Designed for both beginners and those with some prior experience, the course emphasizes safety, skill development, and practical fabrication techniques.
Introduction to welding safety and equipment setup
Overview of core welding processes: SMAW (Stick), GMAW (MIG), GTAW (TIG), and FCAW (Flux-Cored Arc Welding)
Metal identification, preparation, and joint design
Blueprint reading and fabrication planning
Measuring, cutting, fitting, and assembling metal components
Hands-on welding practice in multiple positions and materials
Final project demonstrating fabrication skills
By the end of the course, students will have completed one or more small fabrication projects and will be equipped with the foundational knowledge and skills needed for entry-level employment or further welding certification training.
