Thank you for your interest in helping Room 17 share the love of math by volunteering to write a math problem at one of our Milford locations for our 6th Annual Math Walk Challenge!
The city wide event is scheduled to kick off Memorial Day Weekend! The Math Walk lasts as long as the problems stay on the sidewalks, so IF there is heavy rain expected, we will reach out with a back up plan!
We ask volunteers to write problems either the evening before the event or the early morning of at their chosen or assigned location. We will supply the chalk (and hairspray to help it last longer!) prior to the start date and send more specific directions soon. Please provide your email address and preferred location (if you have a preference or skip if no preference) and then be on the look out for a document with the volunteer directions and specific problem to write.
If you are volunteering for community service hours and would like us to sign a form for you, please indicate that below as well. We can even have you hang out at busier locations, if you'd like to increase your hours and promote Room 17! We can follow up via email or chat to discuss this option for you/your group.
