Written and directed by Manca Rakun, "To Sadness" is an affiliate short film currently in the process of pre-production. For the lead role of Holly, we are looking to cast a female/non-binary actor aged 18-25. We invite actors from any race, ethnicity and background to audition. As Holly is the only character in the film, the role demands great versatility in portraying her different alter egos and emotions and is thus an exciting opportunity to showcase your range.
Genre: Surrealist Dramedy; Short Fiction Film
Synopsis: Holly is going through a rough patch. Set in the protagonist’s mind, the film cruises in the realm of the surreal and metaphysical to portray the many intricacies of negative emotions through her various alter egos. A comedy with serious undertones, the film offers an intriguing twist on the far-from-simple process of dealing with sadness and its ultimate (non)solution.
Shooting Dates: First 2 weeks of June (Actual dates yet to be finalized, actors should be available for rehearsals in the last week of May)
