2025 Garland Wheat and Beet Days Parade

Thank you for participating in the 2025 Garland Wheat and Beet Days Parade! We’re excited to have you join us for this celebration of our community groups and businesses.

Parade Details:

          -Staging Location: Driver’s Ed Parking Lot, Garland High School

          -Parade Route: Starts at Golden Spike Burger and ends at the Garland City Office

Participation is FREE for all, just first come, fist serve!

Important Dates:

          -Application Deadline: Saturday, July 19, 2025 (late applications may be excepted, text Jessica)

          -Final Parade Information: Will be sent via text and email during the week of the parade.

Prizes: Winners for float contest will be announced at Garland Park at 11:00 AM (or immediately after the parade, once the sound system is set up). Prizes in the form of Garland Bucks can be used at the Garland Park that day during the Wheat and Beet Days event. Prizes will be awarded for the following categories:

          -Best Decorated Float

          -Best Performance

          -Fan Favorite (Adult)

-Fan Favorite (Child)

-Fabulous Business Float

Parade Commentary- Please give a brief (50 words or fewer) script of your entry for commentary.
Due to the danger associated with children running into the road for candy, we ask that all thrown candy make it to the curb (not land in the road) or float entrys have walkers distributing paper or goodies to spectators.  

There will be chalk lines drawn that specators are not to cross. Please be sure to keep the candy on the other side of that line. Thank you for protecting our community's children.

The Wheat and Beet Days parade is a family friendly event. All handouts, decorations, themes, costumes, etc. must be appropriate for family entertainment. Absolutely no alcoholic beverages, smoking/vaping, or references allowed in any entry.
