Volunteer Positions

Science Fair Volunteer Positions

Project Judge→ Our greatest need! (4:30pm - until completion)

Review six to eight student projects. Utilizing a uniform judging form, you will discuss the project with the students to see what they have learned. (A refresher training session for judges will be held the night of the fair beginning at 4:30 pm at the Sandhills Global Event Center)

Judge Registration→ (3:45 - 6:00 pm)

Greet judges as they arrive at the fair site. You will distribute and collect forms, clipboards, and supplies.

Information Table & Volunteer Registration→ (3:45 - 5:45 pm or 5:45 - 7:30 pm)

Greet all ‘non-judge’ volunteers, guide students who show up on site to participate, and help answer questions for our participants and visitors.

Student Guide→ (3:45 - 6:00 pm)

Help students find their nametag and tee shirt when they enter guide them to their project location (based on project number on their nametag).

Judging Form Review→ (5:30 - 7:00 pm)

Review each judging form for mathematical accuracy, organize forms and possible data entry.
