SILT- Surf Instructor in LeadershipTraining 2018 Application
City Surf Project's mission is to teach underrepresented youth in San Francisco valuable life skills through the sport of surfing. By learning to ride waves, students will build self-confidence and discover tools necessary to overcome boundaries, both in and out of the water.

The SILT program is going to be a cohort of 8 to 10 high school students who have participated with City Surf Project at least once. Along with fulfilling your community service hours, you will gain outdoor leadership skills, lifeguarding skills, CPR training, assist with surf instructing, and be part of the CSP team for summer 2018. This year there will be a stipend and payment (to be determined) made to each SILT participant.

There is a mandatory commitment to come to an overnight backpacking and surfing trip from June 17th to June 21st.
Then you will have a commitment to instruct at a minimum of 4 weeks of surf camps (only 3 days a week) during the summer (or a total of 12 days). Summer camp dates will be:
June 26th-28th
July 10th - 12th
July 17th - 19th
July 24th - 26th
July 31st - August 2nd
