Join The Family Friend & Neighbor Institute
While a career educating and caring for children is incredibly rewarding, the process of becoming a licensed family child care provider is often intimidating. Because of this, Children's Council has created The Family Friend & Neighbor Institute, a program designed to help Black/African American Family Friend & Neighbor providers as they consider a career in ECE.

Be part of the movement to increase access to warm, supportive, and quality child care to San Francisco's children. Become a licensed family child care provider!

Children's Council is working to support Family Friend & Neighbor Providers (FFN) providers by offering training and mentorship. We believe that this support will help stabilize the number of FFN providers in San Francisco and connect providers with professional development opportunities to enhance the quality of care and education for young children while supporting  FFN providers in becoming licensed. As a Family, Friend, and Neighbor provider (FFN) provider, you play an essential role in providing child care for families. Sign up now!
