Why did Russia invade Ukraine?
Russia launched an attack on Ukraine on the 24th of February 2022 . Ukraine has a population of 40 million people. Ukraine's move towards the European Union, NATO, and the West has angered Russia. Russia wants to overthrow Ukraine's democratically elected government. Watch this speech that the Ukrainian president delivered to the Russian people.
