Stay Salty Storytelling Workshop: Crafting your Great Salt Lake Story
Join us on Thursday, July 25, 6:00-8:00 p.m. at the Day-Riverside Library Branch (1575 W 1000 N, Salt Lake City, UT 84116) for a Great Salt Lake-themed storytelling workshop. For the past year, the Stay Salty: Lakefacing Stories team has been producing a podcast and multimedia storytelling exhibit. Now it's your turn to explore your Great Salt Lake story. Afterwards, you'll be invited to include your story in the larger Stay Salty storytelling project.

As the Great Salt Lake Basin experiences record-breaking heat and continuous environmental challenges, the power of storytelling emerges as a vital tool for inspiring collective action and fostering a deeper connection to Great Salt Lake. Please join us for this workshop which will offer space for participants to think deeply about their relationship to Great Salt Lake and the surrounding ecosystems and communities we call home. Facilitators and storytellers Ashley Finley and Katherine Quaid will help you explore your own personal story about why the lake is meaningful and ways to stay in the face of ecological collapse.

The event is free and open to the public, but we ask all participants to RSVP. Snacks will be provided.
