ArtSpark Boston is a live event series based in greater Boston that aims to
take the power and privilege out of the creative arts. We host live music performances and community classes to provide professional development opportunities for artists at all levels and stages of their careers. We work with BIPOC artists and class participants of all ages (age 16+). Through this summer and fall, we are partnering with MIT, The Museum of Fine Arts, SoFar Boston, and a variety of other community partners to execute our first round of shows and programs. We are looking to form an FY26 Board of Directors! Board members will provide strategic guidance and support to ArtSpark Boston's leadership team. The two key positions we are looking to fill are the Fundraising Director, and Treasurer roles. You can find more information about the two unique positions on our website here.
All board member responsibilities include advising on long-term planning, assisting with fundraising initiatives, and serving as ambassadors to the broader community. ArtSpark's leadership council will be a team of BIPOC individuals who represent an array of skills, knowledge, expertise, and perspective that will contribute to ArtSpark's mission and goals.
Commitment will include the following:
- Attendance to monthly leadership meetings
- Feedback, guidance, and support towards ArtSparks programs and operations
- Attendance to one ArtSpark Boston event per year
- Active participation in key initiatives, such as fundraising events or special projects.
- Contribute time and expertise to the organization's mission and strategic goals.
Once you fill out this application, we will reach back out via email inviting candidates to 30-minute virtual interviews. When all interviews are completed, we will select a maximum of six candidates to join our leadership team.
