LGRC Volunteer Application 2017
About Us:
Lethbridge Girls Rock Camp is a place where girls aged 8-17 can learn a new instrument (or new techniques on an old one) and express themselves in creative and artistic ways, as well as build confidence, leadership, and teamwork skills. During the weeklong summer day camp, campers will be involved in a variety of activities (instrument instruction, workshops, and band practice) and will engage in the sharing and development of life skills.

About You:
Camp is not possible without volunteers. Lots and lots of volunteers. Please take a moment to read through each description, as some positions require musical knowledge, though many do not. Priority for mentorship positions will be given to self-identified women, femmes, and non-binary folks. Time commitments vary from position to position, as well.

Our volunteers are people who place the best interests of youth and their physical and emotional safety above all else; who understand and believe in LGRC’s mission; who will show up, on time, for their appointed volunteer shifts; and who are willing to participate and be present. Thanks for your interest in volunteering with us!

Where is Camp:
Camp and the showcase will be held at the Gate, located at 522 – 3rd Avenue South (downtown, just south of Galt Gardens). Parking downtown is metered during the day, though some of the meters near to the Gate (around Galt Gardens) are daylong ones. The downtown bus loop is also only a few blocks away, and there is bicycle parking nearby.

Important Dates:
Volunteer Orientation: July 19th, 2017, 6pm - 7pm
Camp: July 24th to July 28th, 2017
Showcase: July 29th, 2017

After we receive your application, we will contact you to schedule a phone interview. Nothing major: just a chat to discuss your application and to determine your best fit at camp
