The LeaDRS program gives regional leaders the opportunity to shadow their DRC, currently Jonathan Smith, at a Society Winter or Annual conference. This program will allow the incoming or new regional leader to gain a better understanding of both regional and society operations. This scholarship is to cover up to $1500 of registration and hotel. Flights are covered by ASHRAE.
This year, applications are being accepted for the Annual Conference only.
Annual Conference: Austin, June 27-July 1, 2026
As an awardee, you will also be required to provide a 5-minute presentation to review your experience at the CRC in Omaha in August, 2026.
Criteria: All applicants must be ASHRAE members and a part of Region IX.
Deadline: All applications must be received by the end of the day on February 6, 2026 and will be awarded by mid-February.
