Ukulele Workshops with Glen McCarthy

Level I: 6:30 – 7:15 PM
Level II: 7:30 – 8:15 PM

The Veterans and the Arts Initiative is offering the Veteran community the opportunity to participate in a four-week series.

Sessions are FREE to Veterans, Servicemembers, their families, and military caregivers. Instruments will be provided for participants to borrow during the sessions.

Please note the information sheet on for information about minimum age of participation, as well as our inclement weather policy.

Musicians of all skill levels are invited. The objective of the workshops is to help each participant improve their general ukulele skills to play songs; curriculum is flexible and is determined at the discretion of the instructor to meet the needs of a diverse group of abilities.

To be considered for the workshop, please fill out the registration below, and you will be contacted regarding the status of your registration. Registration forms that are incomplete will be returned to be completed. Each member of a family who is participating should fill out an individual form.

How to determine if you should take Level I or Level II of the Ukulele Workshops
1. If you have never played ukulele before, register for Level I. 2. Have you ever played ukulele or guitar before? If so, or if you have participated in the Dominion Energy Veterans Guitar Workshop Series, register for Level II.
