Georgia Tech Horizons High School Volunteer Program/Classoom Assistant - 2026
Horizons at Georgia Tech offers mature students a volunteer opportunity to not only provide community service, but to also learn the basics of working with children while having fun.

Volunteers will assist Lead Teachers, Group Leaders, and Program Staff with students and other general tasks that keep the program running smoothly and ready for student engagement.

A typical day may include academics, arts and crafts, swimming, breakfast/lunch, recess games, sports, and other program operations duties as assigned, like inventory counts, program cleanliness routines, and making copies. This experience is very similar to a traditional "camp counselor" with chants, cheers, and celebrations included!

At the end of their time with Horizons, volunteers are able to earn up to 160 volunteer hours and will be asked to provide a written summary including a brief personal reflection regarding their community service experience at Horizons. We will provide a Community Service Verificaton Letter as well as Team Mobile Serve verification, if needed.

If you are accepted to volunteer at Horizons, a parental signature will be required.

Please submit your completed application by 11:59pm, Sunday, April 26th, 2026.
