2020 marks the 50th Anniversary of Earth Day and we are celebrating by hosting 50 Days of Cleanups! From March 3rd through April 21st, we will host all the cleanups we can manage. We will celebrate our hard work on April 22nd - Earth Day! - with our Cleanup Awards event!
But for that, we need your help! In addition to our regular landing adopters, we want everyone to pitch in and host cleanups this year! Let's make this the best Earth Day Celebration ever! (Or at least in the past 50 years!)
This year we want to celebrate your efforts by awarding Cleanup Awards during our Green Drinks event on Earth Day (more details coming soon!). We will be giving awards for things like most trash collected, largest volunteer participation, weirdest item found, and much more! We hope you can join us and celebrate this important milestone in Earth Day history.
To be eligible for the Cleanup Awards, you must:
- register your cleanup by March 6th!
- host your cleanup during the 50 Days leading up to Earth Day (March 3 - April 21)!
- submit your cleanup data by midnight on April 21st!
Be sure to register your cleanup by February 28th to be included on our flyers, media releases, and online outreach!
