Thank You for your interest in the 5th Annual Uptown Avenue 7 Arts & Culture Festival.

We have an amazing lineup this year and would appreciate support from people like YOU. Interested volunteers MUST fill out and complete the form below.

There is also a MANDATORY event volunteer staff meeting held on Saturday, November 12, 2022 at 9:00am, you MUST ATTEND to receive role assignments and volunteer t-shirts.

WHO CAN VOLUNTEER? :
✦ Volunteers MUST be 16 years of age or older.
✦ Volunteers MUST submit a volunteer form by Wednesday November 9, 2022.
✦ Please do not bring additional family or friends with you to your volunteer shift.
✦ Volunteers MUST be reliable, responsible, and punctual.
✦ Volunteers who are physically well and have not experienced any symptoms of COVID-19
currently or in the past 14 days.
✦ Volunteers who are able to lift 20 pounds, work in a fast-paced environment and stand for
the length of the volunteer shift.
✦ Volunteers who are able to work in outdoor conditions – heat, humidity, rain, etc.

5th Annual Uptown Avenue 7 Arts & Culture Festival | Saturday, Nov. 12, 2022| 12pm-7pm
Roles & Responsibilities
Uptown Avenue 7 Arts & Culture Festival volunteers are expected to work with a MUCE staff member in the areas of Administration, Customer Service, and Event Production to help set-up and breakdown/clean-up after the festival closes. The festival will operate rain or shine, except in severe weather (lightning, tornado, high winds, etc.). Volunteers will be notified if festival is canceled.

Roles will included but not limited to greeting/informational, event setup, and staff support. Volunteers get to work outside while getting to know the community in a unique way and also contributing a welcoming experience.


DRESS CODE:
Volunteers should wear comfortable shoes and black clothes (T-Shirts will be given). This is an OUTDOOR EVENT and you should be prepared to be on your feet for the duration of your shift. Please wear closed-toed shoes and bring a rain jacket.

We recommend you bring sunscreen, insect repellent, sunglasses/hat – we will NOT be responsible for your personal items so please limit what you bring to essentials.
