Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church and St. Elizabeth Seton Church are partnering on the weekend of August 23 and 24 to bring psychologist, author, and speaker Dr. Greg Botarro to the diocese. Dr. Bottaro is an authority on Catholic Mindfulness. He believes, and we agree, that Catholic mindfulness is an anecdote to the malaise of anxiety and depression that so many are experiencing.
Dr. Bottaro has also generously agreed to speak to Catholic school administrators and school counselors on Friday, August 23, at OLMC from noon - 1:30 p.m. The cost for this lunch and learn opportunity will be absorbed by OLMC. He will also present on Friday, August 23, from 7 - 8:30 p.m. at OLMC, the title being "Smartphones, Kids & Anxiety: Should We Panic?"
In addition to speaking on Friday evening, he will also give a day-long seminar at St. Elizabeth Seton on Saturday, August 24, from 10 a.m. - 3 p.m. The fee is $15 and includes lunch. Please RSVP here or by calling the Merciful HELP Center at 317.663.4039 ext. 3171 by Tuesday, August 20.
